Message From The Director

Greetings!

We here at The Arts Partnership hope that everyone had a wonderful 2011 and are looking forward to an even greater 2012!  As we enter Findlay's Bicentennial Year, we are proud to continue the wonderful traditions that we have here in Findlay, and are pleased to introduce some new and exciting events to our lineup!  We will be finishing up our 2011 season with the 11th Annual Comedy Jam on January 28 at Central Auditorium, followed by The Offical Blues Brothers Revue on April 14 at the CUBE.

To everyone who helped make 2011 great, and will make 2012 even greater, THANK YOU!  Your support to help us Educate, Enrich and Entertain is greatly appreciated and necessary for the growth of our community.

Warm Regards,

Leigh Esper

About The Arts Partnership

History

Our organization, originally named the Findlay Area Arts Council, was founded in 1979 by a group of visionary community leaders. During its birth, the organization’s mission was to encourage and stimulate the practice and appreciation of the arts locally and statewide. The founders included Mrs. E. A. Graham, Mrs. F. F. Flowers, W. T. Maddock, Alex Baluck, Mrs. J.S. Dimling, Mrs. T. A. Buis, E. L. Heminger, Jerry Osborn, Doug Salveson, C. R. Brown.

In 1998, the organization changed its name to The Arts Partnership of Greater Hancock County. The mission was modified to read: To provide, encourage and promote quality arts presentations, educational opportunities and entertainment.

Although our organization has grown and changed over the years, the core of our existence has always been to provide arts opportunities that strengthen our community. Increasing the appreciation of art is still one of the goals The Arts Partnership strives to achieve.

The Arts Partnership offers a wide range of arts, education and entertainment opportunities each year. Through our programming and events, we strive to unify the community, provide cultural enrichment, and improve the quality of life for people in Findlay and Hancock County. We continually work to meet the ever-changing needs of our community through soliciting and utilizing feedback and involving community members in the planning of our programs.
