The Arts Partnership is offering a class in improvisation with the comedy group The Second City. The Second City’s Improv 101 focuses on teaching the building blocks of improvisation to students with little to no experience as they have a great time learning and playing with the touring company members.
This class is open to students in grades 9-12. Space is limited to the first 10 participants. The workshop will be held 1:30 – 3:30 pm Saturday, January 28 at Marathon Center for the Performing Arts (200 W. Main Cross St.). Please register by Monday, January 23.

The Second City is an improvisational comedy enterprise, best known as the first-ever ongoing improvisational theater troupe based in Chicago. It also has programs that run out of Toronto and Los Angeles. The Second City Theatre opened on December 16, 1959 and has since become one of the most influential and prolific comedy theatres in the world. The group will be appearing as part of the Performing Arts Series at Marathon Center for the Performing Arts at 7:30 pm January 28.
