Please check out the list of upcoming Youtheatre events and workshop to stay involved in the 2017-2018 season.
Hancock County Children’s Choir – The Hancock County Children’s Choir is a musical ensemble for treble voices based in Greater Hancock County but open to all 2-5 grade children in the surrounding area. The program’s mission is to provide an educational experience for area children who wish to explore singing in a group at an age when choral experiences are limited in the schools. The Choir stands as an opportunity for students to develop relationships with others with similar interests and gain a greater understanding of how to use their voices in an ensemble.
Youtheatre Club – Students in grades 1-12, regardless of ability or past involvement with Youtheatre, are invited to attend monthly after school Youtheatre Club meetings. The Club will be held on a consistent day from October through May, for 2 hours after school and follow the school year calendar. There will be a different theme for each age-appropriate group meeting such as auditioning, improvisation and character development, singing and choreography and technical theatre, just to name a few. The Club will be taught by Youtheatre Teaching Artists and area professionals presenting as special guests.
Magic Camp – This week-long, half-day camp combines learning magic tricks with storytelling, music, theatre, and creative movement. Through the art of magic, campers will explore their curiosity, develop their magical creativity, and discover new confidence.
Presidents’ Day Theatre Camp – Make the most of your day off with a day-long theatre camp on Presidents’ Day. The program is open to students in grades 1 through 12 and will feature a tour of the facility and mini workshops in improv, acting, and musical theatre.
Explore the Arts – Channel your inner star with The Arts Partnership’s performing arts classes “Explore the Arts!” Each course runs Feb 10 to March 10, meeting once per week. Separate programming is available for youth and teens.
